We are looking for a Lead Educator and an Assistant Educator to hold the kids programme at the Alentejo Eco-Farm for two months. Ten to fifteen families live on the property at once, and their children spend weekday mornings and early afternoons with you.
The programme runs weekdays, 9am to 3pm, at the property's own Nature Interpretation Centre. It is nature-based and place-led rather than curriculum-led. Children are aged 1 to 11, in two bands: dedicated toddler care for 1 to 3, and a mixed group for 4 to 11.
We will say the hard part plainly. Our July 2026 families rated the kids programme our lowest dimension of fifteen while telling us the educators themselves were extraordinary. The gap was structure and ratio, not care. We have redesigned around that, and part of this role is helping us get it right.
A working agricultural property in southern Portugal, a few kilometres from Zambujeira do Mar, halfway between the countryside and the sea. Pools, gardens, trails, a playground, and the Nature Interpretation Centre where the programme lives.
The cohort runs 10 January to 10 March 2027, 59 nights. Families can come for one month or both, so the group changes at the halfway point and part of your job is helping it re-form.
